Peter H. Reynolds - Navigating a Journey of Self-Expression & Creativity
Peter's journey has been fueled by books. Not just reading them, but making them. As early as the first grade, Peter teamed up with his twin brother, Paul, to publish a newspaper for their classmates. These were very early steps in a lifelong, award-winning publishing career that includes the New York Times Best-Selling Judy Moody series, The Dot, Ish, Sugarloaf, So Few of Me and The North Star. Peter also launched the media and publishing company FableVision which is dedicated to serving children, educators and families by creating 'stories that matter, stories that move. FableVision has also won countless awards for its work, including the 2005 Carnegie Medal of Excellence for the film version of Peter's book The Dot, and ALA's 2006 Notable Children's Video Award for the film version of his book Ish. Peter’s simple stories with powerful messages are used in classrooms and teacher professional development around the world.
